During her junior year at design school, Nana undertook the creation of a two-volume book that documents the evolution of her design process from freshman to junior year, delving into her experiences with language barriers and their impact on her ability to effectively communicate her design concepts. “Design Dialogues:The Status of Languages in Visual Communication,” features an intricate and dynamic layout system, with centrally placed numbers at the bottom of each page to denote the specific system used. The covers are designed with expanding ovals that symbolize the cyclical nature of her semestral experiences , with each volume’s ovals expanding differently to reflect the volume number. This thoughtful design not only underscores Nana’s growth as a designer but also her ability to innovate in visual representation and thematic exploration, paralleling the improvement of her communication skills alongside her design skills.
